David Tomas is an artist, anthropologist, and writer who has exhibited internationally. His latest works explore the nature and function of the different forms of knowledge that are generated by the economy of art. Tomas is currently a professor at the École des arts visuels et médiatiques at the Université du Québec à Montréal. He is also the author of five books including Vertov, Snow, Farocki : Machine Vision and the Posthuman (2013), and the co-author of Millet Matrix : Contemporary Art, Collaboration, Curatorial Praxis (2015). Tomas's installation This Is Tomorrow was exhibited at the 2014 Biennale de Montréal.
